As single childless people, it is our duty to cast judgement not only on parents, but the systems that affect parents.
Call it a socialist hellhole of an idea, but maybe providing adequate paid time off to guardians (can’t say ‘mom and dad’ in this climate, you know that) would be beneficial to their ward and in turn beneficial to society in general.
